The 200-hour training with YogaOak University far exceeded my expectations. The focus on alignment-based yoga, anatomy, meditation, and philosophy was comprehensive and thoughtfully delivered. Learning from multiple teachers with distinct areas of expertise allowed me to integrate what I learned in a way that feels authentic while still honoring the traditional practice of yoga. I feel truly prepared to share this work with others.”
Dr. Leasa Lowy, MD, Graduate 2021
As a women’s health medical doctor and yoga teacher, I was delighted by the depth and professionalism of this training. The alignment-based approach is comprehensive, understandable, and highly applicable for caregivers. I feel safe, confident, and prepared to incorporate yoga into my patient practice, and I’ve grown both personally and as a teacher.
Betty Duffy, DPT, Graduate 2021
The instruction was clear and delivered through a thoughtful, multi-pronged approach. I was able to immediately apply movement principles into my work as a physical therapist. The alignment-focused teaching never felt dogmatic or judgmental, and I’m very glad I chose this training
Joelle O.
Graduate 2024
The lead and assistant teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, and they’ve created a strong, growth-oriented, and safe community of practice. The inclusion of specialists in anatomy, meditation, prenatal and postpartum, and Ayurveda made this program far richer than I expected.

Graduate 2025
I came into this training expecting a physical transformation. Instead, I experienced a transformation of my mind, spirit and life. I am calmer, more at ease, and more ready to take on challenges as they come. Through YTT I am coming to understand a new way of thinking about life philosophy, prayer and meditation, and the movement of my body. Having learning occur on so many planes - physical, emotional, spiritual - was often difficult, but overcoming those difficulties was the best part of the training for me. The community of support was amazing. I will always be grateful for you - Rachel, Victoria, and Atmadarshan!
