during the last trimester of pregnancy with my third child. I started experiencing severe panic attacks, insomnia, and relentless states of fear and anxiety. It felt like my life had been ripped away from me and I had  two small children to care for and a newborn on the way. I knew it was a stressful time and I thought it would be temporary, but this new reality turned into a decade long search of how to “fix my broken self".

I felt like I was slowly dying from the stress and anxiety I felt in my body. For many many years I felt this deep brokenness as I dealt with panic attacks, chronic anxiety, chronic feelings of stress, overwhelm, auto-immune disease, mysterious chronic health issues, and a feeling of helplessness. 

I went from doctor to doctor up to 3 times a week and at one point felt like my body wouldn't last 6 more months. It was terrifying and exhausting.

Eventually, I connected to wholeness again, but it wasn't a magic pill or a magic doctor that saved me from my suffering. Reconnecting to my innate wholeness involved a deep dive into the science of the brain and nervous system coupled with profound heart based inner work that allowed me to see the light at the end of the tunnel and start smiling authentically again.

I created 6 Weeks to Calm with Group Coaching as my way of sharing what is possible as a Conscious Co-creator in this life experience. In this program I will assist you in finding your authentic smile again and the inner calm that is your birthright. We will put in to motion your own healing through connecting to your wise heart, regulating your nervous system, and rewiring your brain so that you too can remember your way to CALM. 

I always knew I would that somehow tell my story from the other end of this dark tunnel.  Now I can, and I do.

When we understand that we are not just “overly emotional”, “too stressed out”, “overreacting”, “too much”, “defined by a diagnoses”, "crazy", or “broken”, we can access compassion and space to learn the truth of what is going on inside of us at a deep, profound level and begin to see lasting results that restore hope, joy, and connection in our lives. ~Rachel

I signed up for Rachel's Calm class because after years of traditional talk therapy I knew it was time to try something different. Calm taught me how to listen to my body and to connect with my breath - and through this connection I am learning how to calm my anxious and fearful thoughts. Learning to experience life through my body and heart and not my head has enriched my relationship with myself, with nature, with friendships and with life in general! I feel more compassion and love and joy. Using the tools Rachel has taught me has allowed me to walk calmly into new situations with - dare I say it - excitement and anticipation.
