I signed up for Rachel's Calm class because after years of traditional talk therapy I knew it was time to try something different. Calm taught me how to listen to my body and to connect with my breath - and through this connection I am learning how to calm my anxious and fearful thoughts. Learning to experience life through my body and heart and not my head has enriched my relationship with myself, with nature, with friendships and with life in general! I feel more compassion and love and joy. Using the tools Rachel has taught me has allowed me to walk calmly into new situations with - dare I say it - excitement and anticipation. In the past this would have caused me a lot of anxiety. For example, I used to suffer from social anxiety but now I am able to connect with the part of myself that loves meeting new people and I feel less like an outsider. And if things do feel awkward, I'm ok just sitting with those feelings too. This is HUGE for me! Thank you Rachel!
